‘Best of Branded Content Marketing 2015: Germany, Austria and Switzerland’ was launched yesterday to an exclusive audience of 30 press, agency and brand guests at the dmexco show in Cologne. It’s the first ever regional edition in the international series of enhanced media books by BOBCM – the joint content venture between the BCMA and DMC.

The launch event speaker panel consisted of Justin Kirby, Founder and Curator of BOBCM, and VP, Strategic Content Marketing at Tenthwave; BOBCM’s DACH region partner, renowned branded entertainment consultant, strategist and journalist Sandra Freisinger-Heinl; Petra Kroop, Director Brand Integration, from Headline Sponsor SevenOne AdFactory; Margret Knitter, LL.M., and Hanna Bickel, LL,M., from Feature Sponsor SKW Schwarz Rechtsanwälte; and Malte Christensen, Creative Director, OMD Fuse – part of Omnicom Media Group Germany (OMD/PHD) who hosted the event in their Agency Lounge.

When last year’s BOBCM international book was published, there was a consensus among experts all over the world that branded content marketing would soon be at the heart of every marketing strategy. Since then, there’s been a growing realisation that content-based marketing doesn’t just represent the future of marketing, but is what marketing now is and how it’s done.

This is epitomised in the new 120-page DACH book, for which BOBCM initially had modest ambitions about what might be covered.
