This month, in our thought leadership event series ‘Raise The Bar with Shootsta‘, we’ve partnered with the BCMA to explore the topic of branded content – and how brand publishers are leveraging the power of video in 2019.
So without further ado, please welcome May’s VIP guest…
Dylan Wyn Pugh, Head of Commercial @ Red Bull!
A content evangelist, Dylan Wyn Pugh leads the Commercial team at Red Bull,
partnering with brands to create epic content that inspires people to maximise their
time and talent. Having started his career planning and buying media (Group M / Dentsu Aegis), he then spent 10 years evolving the business models of multi-platform publishers (The Times, The Sunday Times, The Sun) to compete in this modern, digital age, and is currently an ongoing advisor for multiple video-based London start-ups.
In Dylan’s presentation, ‘Exploring Purpose and Permission in Branded Content‘,
he explores how Red Bull and Red Bull Media House have been publishing with purpose – building permission, credibility and publisher status in key content verticals for 30 years (and invites partners to join them!). He asks the question: As brands become publishers, social media is flooded with video content – but how much of it is delivering real value to audiences? What can brands learn from publishers to ensure their content constantly inspires and primes viewers for future instalments?
