BCMA LAUNCHES INTO SCANDINAVIA

The Branded Content Marketing Association (BCMA) has opened BCMA Scandinavia. The BCMA Scandinavian Chapter has been launched to extend the great work and influence that the BCMA has shown across our ever-evolving industry since its inception in 2003.

The BCMA Scandinavian Chapter, we will be working closely with the BCMA to provide exclusive membership benefits including industry research tools and networking opportunities. Throughout each year, BCMA Scandinavia will run an exciting calendar of events for industry leaders providing fresh insights, forging new partnerships, and forming lasting connections while driving growth in the branded content market.

It will be spearheaded by Jan Godsk, Founder of Ideatakeaway and highly respected branded content expert who will become Chairman. Jan has created ground-breaking content campaigns for the Danish and Nordic markets on TV, radio and the internet for customers including Ford Motor Company, Unilever and many more. In 2012 Jan was part of the Cannes Lions inaugural Branded Content & Entertainment jury, and is further more serving as Webby and Lovie award jury member.

Andrew Canter, CEO of the BCMA said: “We are excited to launch into Scandinavia and delighted to be working with Jan who will lead the charge in attracting members. We will work together to develop best practice and shared learning from other markets to benefit brands and agencies looking to harness the power of branded content.”

Jan Godsk, Chairman & Founding Member, BCMA Scandinavia said: “BCMA has a very important role, in a time where Branded Content & Entertainment has evolved into an international standard, and regconized as an important creative tool – Thanks to BCMAs hard work through 10 years and award shows like Cannes Lions, Webby and Lovie and more. This means BC&E is no longer just buzz and hype, it’s part of a serious business. In that context, I look forward to collaborating with like-minded people, to keep up the standards and push this “new creativity” and share the best of what Scandinavia has to offer to inspire others.”
