As the Influencer Marketing opportunities rapidly expand, the BCMA has committed, through BCMA Influence, to helping members navigate the often challenging emerging sector of the industry.
Part of the BCMA Influence’s remit is to bring together some of the leading players of Influencer Marketing to form the ‘Council Of Influencers’ helping to shape and professionalise the industry. The inaugural meeting took place in February at Adobe’s amazing ‘Experience Centre’ in their London offices.
With the help of BCMA members, Whalar we brought together a group of key individuals who are keen to help develop the industry in close consultation with brands, agencies and platforms.
The BCMA’s mission is to become the “The authoritative voice for influencer marketing within the branded content industry.”
Whilst there are many objectives, the group decided that the top three should be as follows:-
- Re-establish the value of the discipline among marketers and brands through best practice, sharing effective case studies and speaking at major events around the world
- Grow the membership to 1,000 members within the next 12 months
- Create an online educational programme building on the work of the Institute of Branded Content, by the end of 2020 to support the industry and the next generation of branded content influencers and creators
This was an extremely positive meeting and as the Council Of Influencers develops we will keep members updated with progress.
